If I’ve said it before, I’ve said it a million times.
I still feel cheated by the rat race. The American Dream. The big lie.
We are born, at least in the USA, dependent on the exchange of labor for money to support the US capitalist system.
If we’re lucky we have guardians to support us until we are ‘adults’, but then we have to earn a few thousand dollars a month just to pay for the basic necessities.
Rent.
Food.
Transportation.
Health care.
All the while we are bombarded with psychologically manipulative commercials for our extra money and whatever attention is left.
We’re lucky if we have anything left to save, much less compete.
In the race.
The race to hoard as much money as possible.
And now we can hoard waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than a person or family could need.
And we can take our vacations to space.
Many call my someone with my views ‘snowflake’, or ‘crybaby’. But I’m just saying the rat race sucks.
I wish I could offer an alternative, but all I can advocate is for ‘another way’.
Or ‘other ways’.
We are creative people, we can figure this out.
