I’ll bet you ten bucks that you have had an experience that begs the question, ‘How Can I Tell the Difference?’.
A simple and benign example might be whether or not you are being selfish. Your friends ask where everyone wants to eat and you say, ‘Taco Bell’ because (for some reason) you REALLY want Taco Bell.
Then you might wonder (especially if you are an empathic, codependent, people pleaser) whether or not you are being selfish. Or maybe you are just being assertive. Or maybe you are enforcing your boundaries because you don’t want to spend too much money.
But, the question arises. How Do You Tell the Difference? Whether you are a ‘bad person’, or a ‘good person’. Whether you are ‘right’ or ‘wrong’.
Sometimes there’s no good way to answer that question. That’s what I’m talking about this week. Because this has been on my mind as long as I can remember.
